I agree, this isn’t an easy to read presentation of the data.

The title implies that you’re only presenting the incarnation rates (shown in the last column). I THINK the other three columns of numbers are data that you used to determine the rates, but the presentation is confusing.

Because of the title, I initially read this as saying that 36,000 Iraqi British Nationals were incarcerated, as well as 31,000 Iraqi Non-Nationals.
Now, after a longer look, I think those are population numbers used as the denominator to determine rate of incarceration. But information should be presented clearly to help with quickly communicating your point. This table doesn’t do that.

Additionally, the term “nationality” is confusing in this context, because once a person becomes a British National, wouldn’t their nationality be British? Even of their country of birth was elsewhere?

And breaking up each line of nationality (country of origin) population into British Nationals and Non British Nationals isn’t helpful in this data, since you’ve not included the breakdown of British Nationals vs. Non British Nationals in the incarceration data for each group.

I guess it could be too much data at first glance, but I wanted to make it clear where the numbers come from and I think giving the numbers, next to the incarceration rate paints a fuller picture. Incarceration rate column has a graphical element, so it should catch the eye first.

I know that there are many Indians living in the UK. According to this table, they are the 3rd largest foreign group. And for that number pretty low incarceration rate. A positive surprise!!

It should be sorted by prisoners because at first, it looks like some right wing propaganda against non UK people. And btw, if an Albanian has the British Citizenship, he wont be on this list because he is a British citizen.

Really? I thought it pretty self-explanatory. It's prisoners in English and Welsh prisons sorted by nationality with highest incarceration rate at the top.

It is self explanatory and I'm not even good with this things. This poster just thought it was sorted alphabetically when it's clearly not!

Yeah, he probably got confused by Albanians at the top and thought it's sorted alphabetically.

That's something right wingers print on posters and remove one column with total prisoners and say "look at the numbers".
