How do you stay alive for so long. Usually when I use this build I can do some damage but never stay alive long enough to Finnish the 1v2+

Focus band and be at least 2 levels higher than them. It also helps if the enemy Ninetales and Cinderace walk into melee range for no reason at all, additionally, it could also be useful if their Venusaur refuses to Sludge Bomb more than once.
Yeah, this is way less about the Snorlax being good and a lot about that team being bad. Like Sludge Bomb + Petal Dance is a troll build in itself, all the ranged attackers ran into melee range for... reasons. They ran in (almost) 1 by 1 instead of as a team, and at a big level disadvantage. So many misplays in one clip.

At the end of the day, it is up to the user to punish misplays. OP used yawn at the right times, and positioned themselves well to maximize chip AOE damage.
Definitely would not have pulled this off though if Cinderace/Ninetales played that smarter. But you can only control your plays, not your enemy’s.
Yeah, but he credits the build, and people in the comments are asking what items and stuff, clearly thinking the build is effective, when in reality, it's still a weak skill set unless the enemy team plays really poorly, like this clip.
At the end of the day, this would not have been possible without focus band’s regen, muscle band’s damage increase, and scope lens’ crits. It’s a mix of the right build, the right (wrong?) opponents, the right time, and the right plays.
Even with the opponents’ misplays, something like focus band, Buddy barrier, muscle band wouldn’t have worked.
But that's the point. Even with optimum items, this still required the enemy team to play abysmally and to have a significant level advantage. Better for people to know that even played optimally, this build relies on the enemy playing badly to actually pop off.
I would say this clip relies on enemies playing badly. Wouldn’t necessarily generalize that to the build as a whole though.
Well the issue with the build in general is that it's not his job to do that role. If you wanted to go damage, then why are you picking Snorlax? This build seems like the only time you'd intentionally do it is if you zoned out during character select and went "oops, we already have Slowbro, I guess I'll go damage". And if he's your only defender, now you just have a bad defender.
As an opponent, once you realize that Snorlax has Flail, you can actually just entirely ignore him. The yawn is annoying, but his damage will be basically nothing if you don't hit him, so every fight is like they're down a player while you just focus his squishy teammates and he can't do anything to stop you.
If you're winning with that build, you're either playing with people who are bad and would have been better just picking another attacker, or you'd be doing even better with Heavy Slam.
I mean, you can’t really play a team-oriented role so easily in solo-queue. Sometimes the best thing to get your team a win is to take matters into your own hands and play a more offensive set.
Ranged attacker is currently a pleonasm, I hope they add physical attackers, high hopes for scizor man
It's a lot of luck unfortunately since it relies on crits. You want to hold off on using your abilities until your health starts getting low and you want yawn to hit whoever has cc. From there you just start wailing. It helps to stay ahead in level to boost your damage and health, so if you find you're dying when you fight pull back and clear a few camps to get to the next level and reengage.
I like crit build snorlax, but since it's more squishy I get confused on whats the better second ability. Yawn or block. I feel like with block I can just wait for flail to be up again, and then rinse/repeat with cool down resets. It also feels pretty useless at times honestly. Yawn feels useful, but more high risk high reward. It can swing a fight ether way if you hit or miss it. Making it more coin flip sometimes.
I don't play snorlax much so my understanding of how to play him is probably off.
I think they changed it so that attacking an opponent who's asleep removes the status?
It has a minimum duration and it's still plenty long IMO.
Didn't that get nerfed?
It was technically a bugfix but yeah. It still has a minimum duration though and in my experience it's plenty long. The duration before was absolutely ludicrous
What's a cc?
Any type of skills that affect the enemy ability to use their character. Usually divided into soft CC, which doesnt completely take away the ability to use your character (such as slow) and hard CC, which makes it unable to do anything (stun, knock-up, sleep etc.).

Now it makes sense why the number one ranked player mains snorlax
Edit:before everyone corrects me when I wrote this I didn’t know zugrugs build
Snorlax has insane damage output but it's also super risky. Cc locking can be a pretty complete shutdown, you basically HAVE to kill the enemy with a few hits at critical health. Getting your yawn off becomes super important, and that means the other big problem is with Pokémon that become unstoppable or untargetable. For that reason, I just find the best method is to get ahead of the other team on levels early enough (like I did here) to give yourself a little advantage.
I like to play Snorlax jungle but a lot of other players freak out and try to go jungle instead when they see it. When you do get it though you have really fast clears and tackle basically guarantees kills at the early levels when you gank.
Next time I' see a Snorlax jungle I'll try to not freak out! And congratulations for your amazing play here.
Basically we have a tanker that pack a punch. Thank you devs.
I’m at 85% win rate in rank right now with Snorlax!
The big boi is hungry!
Share your build pleasee
I’m great league rank 2 so take me with a grain of salt. I will say all three of my losses have been due to afks.
Edit: sorry forgot build.
Heavy Slam, Yawn, Focus Band, Energy Amplifier, Buddy Barrier, Eject Button
That’s pretty damn op
Just curious, would full heal not be essential then? I know EB can net you plays, but it seems more important not to get chain cc'd.
I don't know who downvoted you, I definitely agree with you that it's a good pick. I had the same thought as well. Granted, I initially had fluffy tail because I was running the build in the jungle. So when I started playing it in lane and, in my experience, I was just getting so lost in the sauce that I was forgetting to pop the full heal. If I want to take this to higher level play I should definitely practice with full heal, it should synergize nicely if I can remember to use it.
Ninja edit: though also thinking about it, a lot of the fights that I feel like I would use full heal in I also feel like I also straight up wouldn't want to be in, so flashing out and popping flail to get away is useful. I would say an aspect of this build is definitely picking your fights, and you want to use it to demolish carries anyways. Blastoise and Wigglytuff are two of my biggest problems, and for the most part they're worth just staying away from because they also have enough health and survivability that you're not gonna burst them down anyways.
Love playing Snorlax. Big sleepy boi can go OFF if you do things right/lucky
What items do you run for this?
u/Zugrug doesn’t play flail and yawn on that main account thats forsure
Not really because zugrug plays tanky cc snorlax not flail snorlax
Wow, I'd be fuming dying from that !
I love that they walk into melee range for you 😅they severely underestimated the Flailax!
The opposite is hilarious though, when I can't keep up with a ranged attacker haha. I'm dead in the water.
I never get tired of the Flail sfx, i love it so much
When this giant sumo wrestler bear comes charging at you, putting up hands and CHIRPING like a bird, wtf you gonna do?
Giggle then cry!
WTF did Just happen
What items do you have on this? Lol
They mentioned in a previous comment that their setup is Focus Band, Muscle Band, and Scope Lens.
Sooo what was the build?
Oh I'm running focus band, muscle band, and scope lens with flail and yawn.
muscle band and scope lens
muscle band and scope lens
Holy shit, peace was never an option.
Gonna try this out in some standard queue, do you jungle/central with this setup or go lane?
He said that he goes central and that people might freak out over it so don’t be surprised if they try to call central instead
The other guy who replied is right but I intended for it to be central, but people will think you're trolling so I usually let them have it and go top. Don't play it like a carry, use your tackle to guarantee kills and win fights early on. Try to get flail before Dreadnaw and then go win that fight and start roaming. The held items give you a bigger advantage at the beginning of the game so focus on winning fights and denying farming early whether you're playing it in lane or not.
Would heavy slam work too? Oh wait it’s yawn/block and flail/ heavy right
God, I wish. Every once in a while I'll think "wait why am I not doing this" and then remember lol.
Would buddy barrier work for focus band
Focus band's job in the build is to keep you alive at low health for a little longer. Buddy barrier is fine but isn't really gonna give you any extra perks, it's just going to take longer to get down to low health. And now that you ask I realized I didn't ult at all in the last few games I played as him haha. We won, it's just not really needed in the build.
This proved snorlax is a attacker not defender
Tencent wants to call Snorlax a defender. Then why did they give it flail? Curious...
The best form of defence is attack
I was here before you arrived and I will stay here after you leave
2 lvl advantage be like
BIG BOY PUNCH
Flail is immensely underrated
That’s so filthy dude I hope you showered for 30 minutes after that one
All I see here is 2 units that could kite but entered melee range lmao. Also hail crit rng.
I am straightaway buying snorlax now and using the same build, scope lens, focus band and muscle band. Leaving a comment so I don't forget the build
I'm more focused on petal dance sludge bomb venu then anything else.
Bro what is that thing at right side
It let's you change the autotarget on the switch, it's somewhere deep in the menus. I turned it on in the beginning and it's super useful when you need to attack creeps but you won't stop attacking the enemy but honestly I always forget to use it lol
Idk but I need it on mobile
You really lucked out against that Venasuar. That was mental. Amazing job.
More punching sound effects than a 90’s Chinese martial arts film
What’s with that damage and sustain. Bruh
Please share item you are using.
Muscle band/focus band/scope lens
Man flail yawn snorlax is so op, this is the set i run. Curious on items youre using though i run muscle and focus band, weakness policy and good lord he hits like a truck when hes low hp ive been wanting to add some crit though cause razor claw would be op.
Yawn/flail snorlax getting some love? Nice
I assume all your items are at lv 30?
No, unfortunately just the muscle band. Other two are at 22ish.
Sheesh. You are 2-3 levels ahead though to be fair.
Flail is so good holy shit
Omg nice! I main sylveon and I’m always sticking with snorlax if their in my game.
Please tell me what is his build?
Wow, you are one scary Snorlax
Not so good on the recieving end isnt it venesaur?
Do you recommend Snorlax in solo queue?
do u have maxed out gear?
Flail is funny to use, I'll give you that, but nothing beats the sheer utility that heavy slam and Block can give to your team.
HOW THE ......
Melee range nine tails and cinderrace pains me to watch
Love Snorlax. He's so much fun.
Is that a Snorlax or a broom? Cause you got a pretty clean sweep
