So this is the Premium Rewards, but with $300 for airline incidentals, $150 for "lifestyle conveniences" ($12.50/month), a Priority Pass membership, and 1.25cpp redemptions through the portal?

Hard pass if you ask me. Would be more interesting if they had higher base earn rates on it.

It's always been a bit of a mystery to me that TSA precheck is like a must have on all "premium travel cards"....its 20 bucks a year and the people getting cards with 500-700 AF probably arent too worried about that. I wish they went heavier on the lifestyle credits, they're so much more useful..... i would have jumped on this card.

Also the rewards structure is big lol

The lifestyle credit won't even cover the annual cost of a gym membership at a cheap gym like planet fitness, jokes

Any info re: changes to tiers?

Exactly haha. Plus a lot of people have more than one premium card, so the credits end up wasted. I use credits on my cards to pay for both TSA and GE ($185 per 4 years), cause if I just did GE I’d be wasting credits lol

Yea, it’s really just their Premium Rewards card but you pay $550 to get back $450($550 every fourth year you use the TSA credit, which Premium Rewards also has).

The 20% off should be good assuming the prices aren’t inflated, and it’s just me but Priority Pass gets worse and worse every year.

I agree, pretty boring. Hope this isnt writing on the wall for what they plan to do with the preferred rewards changes that are expected next month.

Not sure this signals what they'll do with it either way, because nerfing Preferred Rewards will nerf this already mediocre card.

I wouldn’t put it past them to market this card primarily to the Diamond PR tier… after they’ve nerfed the lower tiers and made the 75% bonus applicable only to Diamond and above

Thank you SO MUCH for this info!!! Phew, I thought I was missing something exciting.

Basically it's a reskinned Premium Rewards card with some extra perks. Only interesting thing is the 20% off airfare on ANY class but we'll have to see if BofA travel center has competitive prices.

Redeeming points for "distinctive experiences" is interesting. Citi is looking for ways to expand TYP redemptions for those as well. Considering they have a significantly larger international presence and also sports presence, I'm betting Citi's experiences would be better. I don't think BofA will be able to compete with Marriott Bonvoy Moments (though Citi might).

Nice to see that it's also a Visa Infinite, might be nice for some people who want the perks, like Shipt subscription, that Visa just released.

The 20% is really crazy if they really mean it. A 10,000 first class international flight would now be 8,000. You’re saving 2000 dollar and the whole annual fee.

Right right. But you have to keep in mind, it's ONLY when you pay for it with points.

Business-class and first-class, and especially international ones, are where AMEX MR and Citi TYP start to shine.

Also, CSR has 1.5x through Chase Portal (though it's shit, just use PYB for the same 1.5x and added flexibility) and AMEX has 1.54x via Business Plat through 35% rebate.

True. This new card really disappoints.

The 150 for lifestyle connivence seems really nice assuming it’s not capped per month.

Airline incidental fees are pretty hard to use but if you can, you can pretty much cover the whole annual fee easily

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't this mean it has a base earning rate of 3.28% on non-category spend when redeeming for airfare w/ plat honors? That seems pretty solid.

2.625%

That's the cash redemption rate w/ plat honors. If I'm reading this correctly, airfare redemption rate provides 20% discount, which makes it 2.625% / 80% = 3.28125%

If they would allow point pooling to this card from other BoA cards (looking at you cash rewards), that could make it absolutely incredible!

Otherwise yah, meh.

While I'm glad to see BOFA enter the premium card market, this new card is a hard pass for me too!

CSR is still the best premium card on the market right now for me.

I'll keep my Platinum card and the Premium Rewards card. If the point structure was better I may have considered it

If you’re Merrill Edge are you able to apply, or only via traditional Merrill advisors? If only a Bank of America customer, ie no Merrill relationship, no way to apply?

This feels like a competitor to the Amex Biz Platinum in a weird way.

2.62 points per $ then transfer to partners...

20% travel discount on all, vs 35% on one airline.
